NSW: Christmas road deaths drop but yearly figures up by 47
The number of people who died on NSW roads was up by almost 50 last year, includingnine deaths over the Christmas period - the lowest during the holidays for 20 years.
With figures showing a 20 per cent drop in accidents since the introduction of 100fixed digital speed cameras from 1999, the Roads and Traffic Authority plans to set up10 more around schools this year.
