Vendio Purchased SigleFeed
BEIJING, Jun 29, 2011 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- It is reported that Vendio Services, Inc. (Vendio) which is owned by Alibaba Group (Alibaba) purchased the venture company, SingleFeed. Online merchants could submit, manage and optimize their goods lists on comparison shopping engines including Google Product Search, PriceGrabber and other comparison shopping engines through SingleFeed. However, the specific transaction details have not been disclosed.
SingleFeed could submit the product data of merchants for several comparison shopping engines and comparison shopping engines could occupy 15% to 40% of the monthly flow of a online store. Investors of SingleFeed included True Ventures, KPG Ventures and NetService Ventures.
According to Vendio, the company will integrate SingleFeed on its own multi-channel electronic commerce platform. Merchants could manage their sales on amazon.com, eBay.com, google.com and other online stores via the platform of Vendio. What's more, the sister company of Vendio, Auctiva will also use the technology of SingleFeed. Vendio was purchased by Alibaba in 2010.
